My design introduces custom-made furniture with clean, sculptural forms. Seating would comprise of plush, low-profile sofas and armchairs upholstered in a luxurious, textured linen in shades of creamy white and soft dove grey. Tables would be crafted from polished white marble or a sophisticated, matte white composite, their surfaces smooth and cool to the touch. Some tables would feature integrated planters with lush, green foliage, bringing a touch of nature indoors and adding a vibrant contrast to the monochromatic scheme. The floor, currently a large-format tile, would be replaced with a warm, sustainably sourced wide-plank oak flooring in a light, bleached finish, adding a classic yet contemporary warmth underfoot. The decorative elements will be intentionally sparse yet impactful. Large-scale abstract art with subtle textural elements rather than bold colors will adorn the feature walls. Minimalist floating shelves will display carefully curated ceramic pieces and sculptural objects. The harsh fluorescent lighting is replaced by a warmer, more dynamic lighting system. Think subtle spotlights highlighting carefully placed greenery and artwork, and strategically placed table lamps with linen shades to create intimate zones within the larger space. The spatial layout remains open and flowing, but with a greater definition of zones. The main seating area will be arranged to encourage conversation and relaxation, with comfortable groupings of sofas and armchairs. A dedicated "quiet zone" will be created towards the back, featuring individual study carrels or cozy nooks for solitary patrons. The bar area will be a focal point, clad in a striking white terrazzo and featuring a minimalist, back-lit shelving system displaying artisanal coffee beans and elegant glassware. The contemporary elegance is amplified by the deliberate use of natural light. During the day, the large windows would frame breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea, its azure waters reflecting the bright summer sun.
